Senior pet portraits are a wonderful way to get lasting memories of your furry family members. The older I get, the faster time seems to go. Pet portraits are a way to freeze time so we’ll have these moments forever.
Sara found my website and asked me to help capture some special memories of her dog Woody. Woody grew up with her now adult children and is getting older.
During or planning call we talked about created black and white images that would be matted with a thin black frame- simple and classic.
Waveland was especially beautiful on that September afternoon though and the color of Woody’s coat went so well with a lot of the scenery so we changed our plan to include a beautiful color album!
Senior pets are more challenging that younger dogs because they don’t see or hear as well so they don’t respond to my usual tricks. I always bring some high value treats that most of my senior dogs are still really excited about!
The good news is that they’re not as fast as my puppy clients so I’ve got more time to get into the right positions for that perfect composition!
