Spring is in the air and the cherry blossoms are in bloom! It’s time for spring pet sessions! We’ve been waiting all winter for the trees to start getting their flowers and leaves and it’s finally here. Whew! We made it!
LOCATION: Lexington Cemetery
My favorite place to take spring pictures is at the Lexington Cemetery during the last week of March and first week of April. Make sure you turn the volume up so you can hear the cool hunting call I use to get her attention. I had a lot to compete with because there were TONS of geese. Our dog wanted nothing more than to break free and chase them!
TIME: Sunrise
These sweet pictures were taken just after sunrise. Dogs have to be on leashes at the cemetery but you can see I’ve removed them in my editing process!
CONCERNS: Misbehaved dog
Your dog doesn’t have to be an obedience champion to get great pictures. The biggest fear most clients have about booking a pet session is that their dog can’t be off leash. I can remove people and leashes during post processing and most dogs on my blog are actually on leash!
I have 2 leather show leashes that you can borrow during your pet session- one is short, and one is long. We can tie the leash to a tree or bench and then you can step out of the way so we can get some cute pictures!
