Lexington KY is in the middle of a snow storm! Well, actually we’ve had 3 rounds of the ice/snow storms come through in a week! We went sledding yesterday and this sweet goldendoodle puppy was hiding in the snow! She belongs to our cousins and she came out to run around with us and practically blended right in! It looks like she was off leash in the pictures, but actually she was on a LONG, purple leash that I edited it out in photoshop.
My tips for shooting in the snow:
I set my custom white balance with my expodisk that I got off amazon.
When I shoot animals in motion I always have a fast shutter speed over 1/1000 and that was especially helpful when the snow was coming down to help freeze the falling flakes.
